Antofagasta to Caldera, Chile

We left Antofagasta the morning after a great breakfast at our hotel. A very European style breakfast so we made ham and cheese sandwiches to take along for lunch.


A must stop for all motorcyclists traveling the PanAmerican.



Stopped at this oasis in the middle of nowhere, for a cold drink.


These are stickers from motorcycle events in the Atacama and from various motorcycle clubs that are on the window of the restaurant.



Toward the end of the Atacama we saw our first sign of life, a bird.

We arrived in Caldera at 16:00, putting in a 312 mile day, a day with the usual high cross wind off the ocean.
