Gobernador Costa to Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina

We waited around for the restaurant at our motel to open at 0:800. When it hadn't opened by 08:30 and there was no sign of life we gave up and went to the local gas station for coffee and a roll.

Waiting for the restaurant to open.

Next to the gas station the police have several wrecks on display.

About 100 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean we saw our first real clouds in weeks.

Shortly after that we started to see oil wells. It was difficult to stop the bike to take pictures as the cross wind is so strong that it's difficult to hold the bike up. Moving isn't as bad as the bike wants to go straight and stay upright.

Four more days of fighting the wind and we'll be in Ushuaia. The ferry crossing of the Straits of Magellan should be interesting. We then cross a 100 mile portion of Chile that's gravel. From what riders coming north tell us is that the gravel is well maintained but the high winds make the ride a real challenge. Our goal will be 'Not to Go Down!'

Had to include this photo of our dinner cooking on the BBQ last night in Gobernador Costa. The beef in Argentina is outstanding. They say it's because it's grass fed.

We got to Comodoro Rivadavia at 14:00 It was a 249 mile day.
