Arrived in Fairbanks at 17:15, forty minutes late, and picked up the bike before they closed the shop at 18:00. Bike runs fine and I like the feel of the knobby tires. Dinner with Karen and Jack at Thai House. Good as ever. Bike is packed and I'm ready to head north at 06:00. Light rain here tonight and in to tomorrow. Should clear as I head north. A friend of Karen and Jack stopped by for coffee. He came down the Dalton Highway today and said the road surface is good except for some frost heaves.
I'll shoot for Coldfoot Thursday. If the weather clears and the road is good I may try for Deadhorse.
