Osorno to Bariloche, Argentina

Departed at 08:30 this morning. 57 degrees, blue sky.

Two lane road between the two cities and many resorts along the lakes. 82 by the tine we got to Bariloche at 14:30

The border crossing out of Chile and in to Argentina was a snap.

The ash from the two volcanoes is everywhere on the pass and very deep. They plow it off the highway. Not fun to get behind a truck or bus.

Argentina!

That is not snow, its ash.

Our hotel in Bariloche, the Monte Cervino.

It was a 154 mile day, blue sky the entire trip over the pass.

The staff at the Monte Cervino Hotel is great. Couldn't be more helpful.

Sebastian has been most helpful not only today but with E-mail leading up to today.

Sara is dropping off here and her sister Izzy is coming in Friday.

Dave and I will depart Friday and ride to Ushuaia, Argentina. Six days and 1,375 miles, including a ferry across the Straits of Magellan. Extremely high cross winds the last two days with temperatures in the 40s with rain. The usual weather for the area. The trick is to ride the gravel and not get blown over. It'll be an Adventure! (That's why were both riding BMW GS bikes.)
