Santiago to Los Angeles, Chile

This morning I dropped by the BMW Dealer in Santiago when they opened at 08:00 and they had a tire sensor in stock. Had them install it and was out the door at 12:40. (The mechanic that did the install doesn't come in until 10:30, thus the delay.)

A warm 236 mile ride down to Los Angeles, Chile arriving at 18:55. Then the drama of finding a hotel room but made easier by finding a taxi to lead us.

When I went to pick up the bike there was this group of about 12 guys ready to take off on s tour.

It was Dave's birthday Sunday so we surprised him with a candle in his cake. Eric Lange and Rafael Lathrop, two moto guys from Santiago we've been E-mailing joined us. Great to get input from guys that know the area.

I don't want to get gross but by Central and South American standards this Copec Gas Station Banos gets a 9.5. It has a toilet seat, toilet paper, is clean and it flushes! What a treat.
