Party - 29 October

Sara organized a going away party for Dave Rankine and me. Fifty of our friends stopped by to enjoy Sara's famous chocolate cake (actually in the form of muffins) and coffee. What a send off, thanks to all.

One of the highlights was Bill Staughton attending. When Bill retired from teaching in the Washoe County Schools his second career was writing for various motorcycling magazines. My favorite of his articles was a report on his ride to Panama City Panama on his Goldwing in 1992. Bill's wife Ann, is as understanding as Sara.

The adventure starts again tomorrow, 30 September when I depart for San Diego.
