Puebla to Oaxaca

A perfect day to ride. Departed Puebla at 09:20 with 65 degree weather. As usual, very heavy and hectic traffic getting from the hotel to what we'd call the Interstate.

Along the highway I saw a sign advertising 'Italian Coffee House' so when we came upon it I had to stop and enjoy a latte.

At the coffee shop this van pulled in. Read the sign in the rear window and then the blue bumper sticker. They get business whatever happens.

Fantastic road through the mountains on the way to Oaxaca.

Many folks working the fields along the highway. They farm every square inch.

Our motel in the center of the city. Narrow streets and steep hills.

Courtyard at the Anturium Motel. Found this motel through Ruben who lives in Mexico City and is a BMW MOA Ambassador. It's his Mother's place.

Got here at 15:00 with a 211 mile day. We'll be here two nights so that we can see the historic city. Have decided that with the traffic we'll take advantage of the cheap fares.
