I'm a day behind as we had no Internet at our modest motel in a small village outside of Esteli. $25 U.S. including a nice breakfast.
We left San Salvador at 07:35 and ended at our motel at 18:00. Total darkness.

It was a 240 mile day. The worst part was being ripped off by the Honduras police at the El Salvador/Honduras border to the tune of $60 each.
